The restaurant Smíchovský pavilon in Carlsbad with a tradition dating back to 1886 offers you excellent Czech and international cuisine. The freshness of ingredients from local suppliers and the quality of food is our number one priority. The modern non-smoking restaurant offers pleasing environment and atmosphere of a renowned Carlsbad restaurant. A hall with a capacity of 90 persons, a lounge with an indoor garden for 50 persons and a thematic private room for 20 persons are at your disposal. In the premises of Smíchovský pavilon it is possible to organise weddings, banquets, birthday parties, company parties, private presentations and similar events. In the spring and summer months we will be happy to welcome you at our two outdoor terraces. For beer lovers, we have a range of beer specials on tap, including the traditional Smíchov tank beer. Since its foundation in 1886, Smíchovský pavilon has connected its existence with the Smíchov brewery and this cooperation has continued to this day. It is therefore not surprising that we pay attention to the quality of our draft beer and it is a priority for us. In the menu you will also find the best of Moravian and foreign wines, our beer lemonades and many other specialities. Introduction of Smíchovský pavilon
Capacity 110 persons
Since its foundation in 1886, Smíchovský pavilon has connected its existence with the Smíchov brewery and this cooperation has continued to this day. It is therefore not surprising that the dominant feature of the pavilion, the main hall for up to 110 people, was named after its most famous beer. In summer, two more outdoor terraces can be added to its capacity. The hall serves not only everyday visitors but is also popularly used as a representative place for social events. There are two large-screen televisions in the hall, which makes it ideal for watching sports broadcasts together in the best atmosphere.

Capacity 60 persons
This lounge, or rather a glass-walled atrium with a capacity of 60 seats, was named after the famous native of Carlsbad and inventor, who is known for his products all over the world. With its capacity it suits medium-sized social events, tours, but is also widely sought after and popular with regular visitors to Smíchovský pavilon. The hall serves not only everyday visitors but is also popularly used as a representative place for social events. The entire atrium can be closed and separated from other guests of the restaurant. There is also a large-screen TV where you can watch sports broadcasts or your own content and presentations. This lounge is very popular for weddings, birthday parties and similar events.
Introduction of Smíchovský pavilon
Capacity 30 persons
This lounge is named after Dr Emil Holub, a famous Czech native, a lover of the Smíchov beer and one of the prominent visitors to Smíchovský pavilon, whose life story has become the central theme of the reopening of the restaurant. With its capacity of 30 seats, it ideally meets the requirements for organising corporate trainings, class reunions, tastings and similar activities. It is located on the first floor of Smíchovský pavilon and is thus completely separated from all other spaces. The lounge is equipped with a large-screen TV. It is ideal for all who are looking for an undisturbed space with on-demand service and full catering facilities.

Introduction of the
Gastronomy and service always come first.
The chef of Smíchovský pavilon, Jan Horký, trained at the Grandhotel Pupp in Carlsbad, where he had a taste of high gastronomy for the first time thanks to his practical training in the hotel restaurant. After graduating, he remained faithful to his native town, Carlsbad, and developed his skills in the local Imperial Hotel. From there, his steps were directed to Kampa Park in Prague, where he worked under the acclaimed Chef Mark Raditsch.
He worked his way up there to the post of chef de partie and at that time also won the national round of the prestigious Bocuse d'Or competition, which earned him a prized participation in the international round. Even in his next job, this time in Zdenek’s Oyster Bar, his talent and diligence did not go unnoticed.
Under the leadership of another famous chef, Jiří Nosek, he gradually worked his way up to the position of sous chef. He then confirmed his experience in a leading position at Sabores Tapas & Vinos in Prague. He further developed his culinary skills across his native region and thus participated in several successful projects, such as Atelier café in Sokolov.
His latest culinary project is now Smíchovský pavilon, where he has taken up the position of the chef in grand style. His combination of traditional Czech cuisine and the latest culinary techniques celebrates success and you can see for yourself with us.
